Meet Our Management Team

Gregory L. Brown Mr. Brown is a native Houstonian. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors program in 1986. Additionally, he received a law degree from the University of Texas in 1989. Mr. Brown was a founder and executive of First Republic Capital Corp., a Houston based commercial finance company, specializing in accounts receivable factoring, which was acquired by a major Houston Bank in 1998. He is currently a founder and executive manager of Charter Capital GP LLC.

Allan D. Rosenthal Mr. Rosenthal was a native Houstonian. He received his education from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston. Mr. Rosenthal was a founder and Chairman of Sysco Food Services, and later, an executive manager of Sysco Corporation. He also founded and served as Chairman of City Financial Services, Inc., a Houston based commercial finance company specializing in accounts receivable factoring. He served as Chairman until City Financial was acquired by a major Houston Bank, in 1998. Mr. Rosenthal was instrumental in launching Charter Capital into the 21st Century. Allan D Rosenthal passed away September 12, 2001. He will be missed by many.

Joel B. Rosenthal Mr. Rosenthal is a native Houstonian. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985. Additionally, he received a Masters of International Business (Finance) from the University of South Carolina in 1988. Mr. Rosenthal was a founder and executive of First Republic Capital Corp., a Houston based commercial finance company, specializing in accounts receivable factoring, which was acquired by a major Houston bank in 1998. He is currently a founder and executive manager of Charter Capital GP LLC.

Larry S. Sondock Mr. Sondock is a native Houstonian. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1966. Later, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army in Germany. He then served as vice president of McCane Sondock, a family owned security services company, known at the time, to be the largest independently owned security company in the United States until it was acquired by a public company in 1983. Later, he was a founder and vice president of Advanced Telecom Systems, owner and operator of public pay telephones, which was acquired by a public company in 1990. He then was a founder and president of City Financial Services, Inc., a Houston based commercial finance company specializing in accounts receivable factoring, which was acquired by a major Houston bank in 1998. He is currently serving as an executive of Charter Capital.
